Phase 2 of The House Behind The Trees ~ The downstairs #TeelsBuildaHouse

So we are starting the downstairs ... I HATE to say basement because we had a basement in our old home, where you opened a door and went down stairs separated from anything else. It was a finished basement complete with a bedroom, craft room, family/game room and we spent a lot of time there ~ our oldest son moved down there in jr high and stayed through high school ... until we finished the master suite in the attic then he moved back up to the bedroom floor with his brother and sister.  So here our downstairs is open to the rest of the house, you can see through to the outside from the top of the stairs going down because we have a wall of windows down there as well.  We really didn't plan to have a kiddo down there but since we are having to do a switch-a-roo with rooms (I'll explain later) he is moving home soon and will be downstairs. Anyhoo, our downstairs will house our main family room, our middle sons room, a full bath and kitchenette.  I thought it would be fun ...

Holy Crow, Where did the time GO!

Well, let me just tell you that I don't think I have gotten a darn thing accomplished that I had on my FALL To-Do list! I have been just absolutely swamped with orders, which is great for me, but not so great for my house! With the holidays coming, my boys ball schedules, my daughters birthday this weekend and oh yeah, I'm working on my Masters to boot, I have got to get a better system to utilize my time. If someone has a system that works, other than praying for extra hours in the day, please let me know :>)

I have so much Christmas fabric that I need/should be working on right NOW but I am still working on Halloween and Thanksgiving orders, so hopefully I will get to that in the next couple of weeks! If you have visited my links to my stores on Etsy and/or Ebay you have noticed that most things are marked down. Reason 1. Because I am still taking into consideration the money issues that face our country right now and 2. Because every little girl deserves Pink Petunia Pearl! The current markdown price isn't going to last forever so purchase now (or before the end of the month - hint, hint)!

I also haven't listed any tutorials in quite some time so I will also be getting around to that. I do have the korker bows and pillowcase dresses listed as tutorials in the previous blogs and will be adding regular bows and ribbon belts shortly. They truly are easy to create however the first few times you may go through A LOT of ribbon :>)

Ok, I have to print my papers for class tonight and finish up the little details on 3 overall sets that need to ship today and oh yeah, PICK UP my house before the kiddos get home from school...time remaining 5.5 hours!

Blessings to all and have a blessed upcoming weekend!

PS. these are some of the Thanksgiving and Halloween lines at Pink Petunia Pearl
