Phase 2 of The House Behind The Trees ~ The downstairs #TeelsBuildaHouse

So we are starting the downstairs ... I HATE to say basement because we had a basement in our old home, where you opened a door and went down stairs separated from anything else. It was a finished basement complete with a bedroom, craft room, family/game room and we spent a lot of time there ~ our oldest son moved down there in jr high and stayed through high school ... until we finished the master suite in the attic then he moved back up to the bedroom floor with his brother and sister.  So here our downstairs is open to the rest of the house, you can see through to the outside from the top of the stairs going down because we have a wall of windows down there as well.  We really didn't plan to have a kiddo down there but since we are having to do a switch-a-roo with rooms (I'll explain later) he is moving home soon and will be downstairs. Anyhoo, our downstairs will house our main family room, our middle sons room, a full bath and kitchenette.  I thought it would be fun ...

Oh the Weather Outside is Frightening....

Another SEW off the Subject...

Here in Missouri we haven't had any REAL winter snow or precipitation yet (well in my neck of the woods), just cold temps! While I won't complain - and as a teacher I kinda like that since I really don't want any snow days for the kiddos - I would rather have my Spring Break! It looks dreary outside today and snow is on it's way. With yucky impending weather scheduled for the next 3 days, I thought I would scrapbook. Now mind you my scrapbooking now consists of uploading pics to Kodak and creating hard covered photo albums ;)

Anyhoo, I came across these adorable pics of Eme wearing her Matilda Jane when the weather was a little more desirable, so I thought I would share. If you would like to own this adorable set , it will be listed for resell on my Ebay site at a later deate....I'm really hoping we can still wear this set this spring. This is the Skye knot top from the Hammond Bay collection over the green pearlhead dress from the Platinum collection. I also can't help but mention my Geraniums....they look awesome and have me craving Spring! =)

Happy weekend to you all and may your Saturday and Sunday be full of God's blessings!
