Phase 2 of The House Behind The Trees ~ The downstairs #TeelsBuildaHouse

So we are starting the downstairs ... I HATE to say basement because we had a basement in our old home, where you opened a door and went down stairs separated from anything else. It was a finished basement complete with a bedroom, craft room, family/game room and we spent a lot of time there ~ our oldest son moved down there in jr high and stayed through high school ... until we finished the master suite in the attic then he moved back up to the bedroom floor with his brother and sister.  So here our downstairs is open to the rest of the house, you can see through to the outside from the top of the stairs going down because we have a wall of windows down there as well.  We really didn't plan to have a kiddo down there but since we are having to do a switch-a-roo with rooms (I'll explain later) he is moving home soon and will be downstairs. Anyhoo, our downstairs will house our main family room, our middle sons room, a full bath and kitchenette.  I thought it would be fun ...

Where Are You From?

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Ezekiel 36:26

In life, we all have negative things that happen to us ~ we ALL go through situations that are unfair. Some people are raised in "unhealthy" environments or have "unhealthy" situations that now makie life much more difficult, because they can't move forget and.or forgive! They seem to live with this false sense of not deserving more or feeling that this is just the way it has to be, BUT here is the truth ~ when we accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He gives us a new heart, a new start, a new life!

Within this new life, just like in our physical bodies, our bloodline changes, we are no longer the subject of our earthly background, all the past negative background we came from. Instead we now become subject to our heavenly heritage! His spiritual blessing always overrides the curse in the natural world. When we understand who we are now and what God has already done,is doing and will for us the past doesn't matter! It doesn't matter what someone else did to us, it doesn't matter how unfair life has been, it doesn't matter how we were raised because we won't stay bitter, we won’t live with a chip on our shoulder and we will realize that nothing can stop us from fulfilling our God-given destiny!

Remember that we come from Almighty God, He gave us life and when we choose Him, we are choosing our heavenly heritage of blessing an eternal, abundant life!

God in heaven, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus so that I may be saved. Today I surrender every area of my life to You. Have Your way in me; let Your will be done in my life. Thank You for making me new in Jesus’ name. Amen.
