Phase 2 of The House Behind The Trees ~ The downstairs #TeelsBuildaHouse

So we are starting the downstairs ... I HATE to say basement because we had a basement in our old home, where you opened a door and went down stairs separated from anything else. It was a finished basement complete with a bedroom, craft room, family/game room and we spent a lot of time there ~ our oldest son moved down there in jr high and stayed through high school ... until we finished the master suite in the attic then he moved back up to the bedroom floor with his brother and sister.  So here our downstairs is open to the rest of the house, you can see through to the outside from the top of the stairs going down because we have a wall of windows down there as well.  We really didn't plan to have a kiddo down there but since we are having to do a switch-a-roo with rooms (I'll explain later) he is moving home soon and will be downstairs. Anyhoo, our downstairs will house our main family room, our middle sons room, a full bath and kitchenette.  I thought it would be fun ...

Oils and the 4th of July go together just like PB&J

 TIPS FOR THE FOURTH

As you prepare to grill those burgers, pack those coolers and grab those sparklers DON'T forget to  throw in those oils! Here are a few  ways to use our oils on the go (these are all in your starter kit so if you aren't a YL member let me know and I can hook you up), if you don't have roller balls just pack a little jar of coconut oil to use as a carrier oil (helps the oils to spread quicker + easier) OR use any of the YL chapsticks as a carrier stick! To shop YL use the link at the right and my number to purchase.

What NOT to forget:
*A makeup bag or baggie for storing your oils and easy access.

*Lavender in a roller ball or straight from the bottle! Lavender is great for bumps along the way, after too much sun, bug bites and YEP sparkler burns!

*Digize for your tummy because of ALL the chips and dips and fried chicken. You can drip a drop in a water bottle or apply directly to tummy.

*Peppermint in a roller ball or straight from the bottle is a magical oil ... use it to cool down, after too many wine spritzers, sore muscles from too much corn hole & volleyball.  This is amazing rubbed on the temples, make sure not to get near eyes, if you do just put some coconut oil on your eyes to draw it out for headaches or directly to those sore spots.

*Stress Away for all the crowds.

*Citronella for all the bugs!

AND DID YOU KNOW .... You can bring your diffuser outside for a natural way to keep pests at bay?  Use Purification and or Citronella ... BONUS POINTS did you know that Purification is also great on bug bites or stings.

*Other favorites: YL's Bug Repellent and Mineral Sunscreen!
